PETALING JAYA: The Selangor government did not order Selangor Development Corporation (PKNS) general manager to withdraw the letter sacking state PKR chief Azmin Ali as a board member, said state secretary Datuk Mohammed Khusrin Munawi on Tuesday.'
“The Selangor state government never ordered PKNS to withdraw the letter," said Mohammed Khusrin in a press statement.
"I wish to stress that the claims of the PKNS general manager Datuk Osman Omar in his letter dated Jan 16 claiming that the Selangor state government directed the withdrawal of the Jan 8 letter terminating the service of Azmin Ali as a PKNS board member are untrue," said Mohammed Khusrin
He added the issue would be discussed at the next Selangor Executive Council (Exco) meeting on Wednesday.
"In the meantime, an internal investigation is being conducted on the PKNS general manager and executive secretary to determine the truth behind this issue.
“I ask all parties not to speculate or spread rumours until the internal investigation is completed and the council has made a decision," said Mohammed Khusrin.
On Monday, Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim said Osman and executive secretary Norita Mohd Sidek had been transferred out of PKNS and would now be taking up administrative jobs at the state secretariat.
In the meantime, Azmin remains sacked.
Khalid said the decisions not to make any change to Azmin’s status was to avoid any legal complication.
