TAPAH: A cow carcass lying on the Ipoh-Kuala Lumpur trunk road caused the death of two people in an accident involving four vehicles.
Teacher Kamaruzzaman Bukhori, 51, rammed his Perodua Kelisa into the cow carcass that was on KM86.4, said Tapah OCPD Supt Somsak Din Keliau.
“The impact caused Kamaruzzaman’s car to veer into the opposite lane where a multipurpose vehicle (MPV) ploughed into him.
“Meanwhile, another southbound car managed to avoid crashing into the two vehicles but another MPV rammed into its back,” he said.
Kamaruzzaman and his son Ariff Zakuan Kamaruzzaman, 15, died on the spot from multiple injuries.
Their bodies were sent to the Tapah Hospital for a post-mortem.
