Babysitter allegedly abuses nine-month-old baby
KUANTAN - A nine-month old baby, who is in critical condition, is believed to have been abused by his babysitter.
Pahang CID deputy chief Supt Mohd Haris Daud said the Kuala Lipis hospital had reported to the police that the baby boy suffered several injuries, including cerebral hemorrhage, after returning from his babysitter's house on Sunday.
"The baby also has bruises on his forehead, left arm and ankles. The doctor has confirmed the injuries were inflicted with a blunt object," he said here on Wednesday.
Supt Mohd Haris said the case was still under investigation under Section 31(1) of the Child Act.
