Elews Mart is a retail business owned by Ebit that went viral before because it offered goods at low prices to consumers.

KUALA LUMPUR: After more than three years of operation, all Elews Mart supermarket branches owned by independent preacher, Ebit Lew are rumored to be closed in stages starting on January 15.

The latest development was obtained through a notice dated 15 January 2024 on the letterhead of Elews Mart Sdn Bhd which went viral on Wednesday.
"It is to be informed that Elews Mart Sdn Bhd will close all Elews Smart branches in stages starting on 15 January 2024.

"In connection with that, we would like to thank everyone who was involved throughout the collaboration to ensure that our branch operations run smoothly.

"All outstanding debts will be settled no later than June 30, 2024," according to the notice.
A survey on the official website of ElewsMart found that the notice was not shared on the site.
However, a check on the business's Facebook and Instagram pages found that it had not been updated for a long time.
The last time it was updated, with a promotion from the store was in September last year.

In 2020, a total of 10 branches will be opened and located in Bandar Baru Bangi, Sungai Buloh, Balakong Cheras, Shah Alam, Damansara, Prima Gombak, Gombak Traders and Subang Perdana.
