SABAK BERNAM - Police have started an investigation against a special officer to a politician regarding the status and photos uploaded on Facebook which allegedly violated the standard operating procedure (SOP) of the Full Movement Restriction.
Sabak Bernam District Police Chief, Superintendent Agus Salim Mohd Alias said, the police will take the statements of those involved.
According to him, the status and the picture started to spread on Facebook since last Wednesday, showing the woman involved posing in a group of people while attending a discussion session (brainstorming).
"The police will continue to increase patrols and monitoring at all locations to ensure that the SOPs outlined by the National Security Council (MKN) are implemented.
"This case will be investigated in accordance with Section 22 (b) of the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 (Act 342)," he told Sinar Harian on Friday.
Earlier, several pictures were posted on the social networking site Facebook, inviting public outrage over the actions of the woman involved in uploading statuses and photos that violated the Full Movement Restriction SOP.
It is understood that a police report was lodged by the public regarding the action.
