KUALA LUMPUR, June 25 -- Coordination of youth development efforts through the development of sports talent and leadership is one of the important aspects discussed by the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ministry of Education Malaysia.
Youth and Sports Minister Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican via an official Facebook post today, said the two ministries are working on continuous initiatives to tap young talents from very early on with the values of leadership, unity, cooperation and the spirit of love for the country.
"The two ministries have long established close cooperation, especially in the pursuit of sports talent at various levels and will be further empowered through the sharing of expertise, facilities as well as skills.
"This collaboration is very personal to me because this is where the Malaysian phase of young talents begin to develop and eventually become a Malaysian youth group," he said.
Reezal Merican today visited Education Minister Dr Mohd Radzi Md Jidin through the ministry's cross-collaboration initiative.
He said the cooperation of the two ministries would also see measures and interventions taken together to ensure effective policies could be formulated specifically for the 'NEET' (Not in Education, Employment and Training) youth group.
