Speaking at a press conference on Saturday, the ministry’s disease control and prevention director general, Achmad Yurianto, added that 37 more people had died of the disease, bringing the death toll to 2,720.
The total number of recovered patients has also increased to 21,909.
The capital city recorded 203 new confirmed cases, bringing the total tally to 10,994. Meanwhile, East Java reported 277 new cases, Central Java 197, South Sulawesi 146, and Bali 106.
The virus has spread to all of the country's 34 provinces. (dfr/mfp)
