Rulers in Special Meeting at Istana Negara since 10.10am

PETALING JAYA: The Rulers have begun their special meeting at Istana Negara, following the resignation of Sultan Muhammad V as the Yang di-Pertuan Agong on Sunday.

The meeting was preceded by the arrival of the “Sultan of Johor, followed by the Sultan of Kedah, and the Sultan of Perak, who is also the Deputy Yang di-Pertuan Agong,” Bernama tweeted on Monday (Jan 7).

Perak Sultan Nazrin Shah, as the Deputy King, will perform the duties of the King until the next Yang di-Pertuan Agong is decided by the Conference of Rulers.

Keberangkatan tiba Raja-Raja Melayu ke Istana Negara bagi menghadiri Mesyuarat Majlis Raja-Raja pada pukul 10.10 pagi.

Keberangkatan tiba didahului oleh DYMM Sultan Johor disusuli KDYMM Sultan Kedah dan DYMM Paduka Seri Sultan Perak yang juga Timbalan Yang di-Pertuan Agong.
