Weekly fuel prices: Petrol down, diesel up

PETALING JAYA: Petrol prices are down by one sen per litre for the third week of January, while diesel prices are up.
In a statement on Friday (Jan 11), Finance Minister Lim Guan Eng said the prices of both RON95 and RON97 petrol would drop by one sen, while diesel would increase by one sen.
With the decrease in petrol prices, RON95 will now retail at RM1.92 per litre, RON97 (RM2.22) and diesel (RM2.05).
Lim said the new prices would take effect from 12.01am on Saturday (Jan 12) until Jan 18.
The weekly fuel pricing mechanism was reintroduced on Jan 5 under the new Automatic Pricing Mechanism (APM).
Under the APM, weekly fuel prices are announced every Friday and will remain in force for one week.
