It's been an hour since 4 pm, the time President Duterte was scheduled to deliver his 3rd State of the Nation Address. The reason? A standoff between Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo, who earlier took her oath as Speaker, and Pantaleon Alvarez, the Speaker she replaced. The President has been at the Batasang Pambansa for an hour already, but confusion continues over the row among his allies. Let's wait and see! Here's our story on Arroyo's assumption as Speaker.

This year’s State of the Nation Address (Sona) appears to start later than expected, apparently due to the change in the leadership at the House of Representatives.
There has been no message from Malacañang or the House on the cause of the delay, but the Sona usually start at around 4:00 p.m.
However, minutes before President Rodrigo Duterte delivers his third SONA, a sudden session was called to order, where the former President and now Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal Arroyo was sworn in as the new Speaker of the House
Arroyo replaced Davao del Norte Rep. Pantaleon Alvarez, who was still the one who welcomed President Duterte inside the House premises.
