Allow us to be blunt and honest here: we actually do think James Blunt’s You’re Beautiful is a beautiful song. It’s just misunderstood.
Yes, Blunt himself has said it’s a little “annoying”, but only because it was so overplayed. But heck, we’d still sing it at the karaoke every single time .
Well, now we don’t need to hide in that karaoke room whenever we want to sing You’re Beautiful anymore, because come March, we can sing along with the man himself!
Blunt will be playing in Malaysia for the very first time on Sunday, March 25, at Dewan Wawasan PGRM, Kuala Lumpur. The show is part of his The Afterlove World Tour across Europe and Asia Pacific to promote his latest album, The Afterlove.
Blunt shot to fame with the release of internationally-acclaimed debut album Back To Bedlam in 2004, which contained hits like You’re Beautiful and Goodbye My Lover. It garnered the sing-songwriter numerous awards and accolades, including two British Awards, MTV Video Awards, Ivor Novello Awards and five Grammy Award nominations.
Since then, he has released three more albums, All The Lost Souls (2007), Some Kind Of Trouble (2010) and Moon Landing (2013). His fifth studio album, The Afterlove, was released last March and in it, Blunt worked with the likes of Ed Sheeran, Ryan Tedder from One Republic and Johnny McDaid from Snow Patrol.
