KAJANG: A 14-year-old girl is in critical condition after she was attacked during a robbery at her home in Kajang here.
Kajang OCPD Asst Comm Othman Nanyan said police received a report on Friday on the incident at Kampung Masjid, Bangi near here.
ACP Othman said the victim's 48-year-old mother who had gone home at about 11.15am on Friday found her daughter in the bedroom covered in blood with injuries on her head, chin and mouth.
He said that upon checking the house, the mother found the victim's two handphones and purse were missing.
"She called the ambulance and the victim was brought to the Kajang Hospital for treatment," he said in a statement on Saturday.
ACP Othman said the victim suffered a fractured skull and serious bleeding on her head and face.
The case was being investigated under Section 394 of the Penal Code for causing hurt in committing robbery.
