PETALING JAYA: A street luge racer was recorded dangerously swerving in and out of traffic on the Seremban-Jelebu road on Sunday.
Former Kelana Jaya MP Loh Seng Kok managed to film the racers as he was driving downhill on the road at 12.15pm.
"Today as I was driving downhill along the winding Seremban-Jelebu road, a guy lying on a speeding skateboard overtook me from my left at a curved part.
"Could not imagine what (could happen) if he had skidded and slid under my wheels," Loh said adding that his dash cam recorded the racers."Lying on a skateboard and rolling down a street may seem like fun but it really involves great risks. A minute of collision may cause a lifetime of injuries. Bone fractures are also part of the game," he said, explaining that street luge racing is one of the most dangerous sports in the world.
Street luge is described as an extreme gravity-powered activity that involves riding a street luge board (or sled) down a paved road or course. Like skateboarding, street luge is often done for sport and for recreation.
