KUALA LUMPUR: A property agent made the foolish mistake of offering a security guard at his condominium block two live bullets in an attempt to wriggle himself out of a parking problem.
His actions eventually led to a raid by the police who found a pistol and live bullets in his condominium.
Wangsa Maju OCPD Supt Mohamad Roy Suhaimi Sarif said the 46-year-old agent was approached by the security guard at about 5.45am on Oct 16 over a parking situation at a condominium along Jalan Pahang here.
“The agent had just parked his Proton Iswara at the condominium parking lot when the guard approached him.
“An argument broke out between the two when the guard told the agent to park his car properly,” he said.
Supt Roy said the agent, in a threatening manner, forced two live bullets on the guard to settle the matter.
“He lodged a police report on the same day. A Special Task Force on Organised Crime (Stafoc) team from Bukit Aman was despatched to the man’s condominium unit soon after,” he said.
Supt Roy said the raiding party found a pistol, 13 live 9mm bullets and chalk rounds at the agent’s condo unit.
“Three men, including the agent, were arrested during the raid. The two men, aged 30 and 47, were friends with the agent. They were visiting him,” he added.
According to Supt Roy, the pistol belonged to the 47-year-old businessman who previously owned a security firm in Kelantan.
“His firearms license expired in 2012 and the Home Ministry cancelled his business license in July this year.
“He also has a previous record for intentionally causing hurt with a dangerous weapon,” he said.
Supt Roy said the agent’s 30-year-old friend has a previous record for drug possession and was arrested in Petaling Jaya in July.
“The agent, meanwhile, has no previous criminal record. He has confessed to giving the bullets to the security guard,” he said.
All three suspects tested negative for drug use and have been in police custody since Oct 17.
