Yusof Haslam’s House Broken Into, Warning Shots Fired

KUALA LUMPUR: Film director Datuk Yusof Haslam fired several warning shots when his house was broken into by robbers early morning today.
The incident happened about 2.30am at his house in Taman Melawati, here.
It is learnt that Yusof was watching television when he heard her domestic helper's scream at the house's ground floor.
Ampang police chief Assistant Commissioner Khairuldin Saad said Yusof then reached for his firearm before firing several warning shots, causing the robbers, which number is yet to be known, to flee the scene.
He said investigations are being conducted alongside a manhunt for the suspects.
It is learnt that Yusof later found out that a room at his house's fourth floor was ransacked, with amount of losses has yet to be determined.
