Four charged with gang-rape of teen girls in Kelantan

KOTA BARU: Four people including two juveniles were charged in Sessions and magistrates Court on Wednesday respectively for allegedly raping a 15-year-old and 17-year-old teenagers last month.
At the Sessions Court two men pleaded not guilty on two counts each of gang raping both the victims.

Che Azuan Che Hassan, 32 and Muhmed Azroel Hassan, 23, were charged for raping both victims at Kampung Hutan Pasir between 7.30pm and 11.30pm on May 20.
They were charged under Section 376 (2) (c) of the Penal Code that carries a minimum of five years’ jail term and up to a maximum of 30 years and whipping if found guilty,
Meanwhile at a Magistrate Court two juveniles aged 17 and 15-years-old were charged under the same Section.
The 17-year-old juvenile who pleaded guilty while the 15-year-old pleaded not guilty for allegedly raping the 17-year-old and 15-year-old victims respectively on the same day and time and place.
They were also charged under the same Section but under the purview of the Child Protection Act.
Magistrate Nik Habri Muhammad ordered the case to be transferred to the Sessions Court for sentencing and remention.
Judge Nik Habri allowed a RM3,000 bail with one surety for both juveniles.
