'Shooting spree' in 20 places rocks Kota Kinabalu

KOTA KINABALU: A drive-by mystery-shooting in the wee hours of Saturday got city folks worried after more then 20 places were targeted.
Glass panes and glass doors of hotels, shopping malls, banks and fast food outlets were riddled with single bullet hole or some even shattered by in the shots fired by unknown people between midnight and 1am.
No reports of any injuries were received so far.

Police have yet to make an official statement over the incident that is spreading within social media.
They have yet to identify the person or people involved as security officials did not rule out disgruntled individual or possibly underworld groups might be involved in the shooting.
Suspicion is that an air rifle was used in the shootings.
