WASHINGTON: Elon Musk, who is not a member of the Cabinet, will attend the first official Cabinet meeting of US President Donald Trump on Wednesday, White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt said.
"Yes, that's right," Leavitt told CNN's Jeff Zeleny when asked if the tech billionaire and head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) would attend the president's first Cabinet meeting.
"Elon, since he is working with our President and Cabinet Secretary, this entire administration will be present tomorrow," Levitt added. The Press Secretary said Musk would speak about DOGE's efforts and "how all Cabinet Secretaries identify waste, fraud and abuse" in their agencies.
"I think you'll hear from the President and his Cabinet when they're on campus tomorrow," Levitt said.
"I hope you are all excited," he concluded the statement.
President Trump will hold his first official Cabinet meeting today, Leavitt confirmed during the final briefing at the White House.
