Shooting at KLIA: The suspect Hafizul Harawi has three previous criminal records - JSJ Director




Mohd Shuhaily said the suspect had two previous records for threats and another record for stealing and impersonating a civil servant. - BERNAMA photo The suspect suspected of being involved in the shooting at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1 early Sunday morning, has three previous criminal records.

Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (CID) director Comm Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain told a press conference at KLIA on Sunday (April 14) that police were seeking one Hafizul Harawi, 38.

Hafizul has also been identified as the husband and business partner of the intended victim.

“The police have classified the suspect as armed and dangerous. Anyone who spots him is urged to share the information with the police but not to act alone,” he said.

Comm Mohd Shuhaily advised the public to keep their distance and call the police immediately.



According to Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) Director, Datuk Seri Mohd Shuhaily Mohd Zain, the suspect has two previous records for threats (Section 506 of the Penal Code) and another record for stealing and impersonating a public servant (Section 380/Section 170 of the Penal Code) ).
