IPOH: Perak Agriculture, Plantation and Food Industry Exco, Razman Zakaria tested positive for COVID-19, based on the screening test issued by the Public Health Division, Ministry of Health (MOH) here today.

He, who is also the commissioner of  Perak PAS, was said to have experienced a number of symptoms last Wednesday and took self-examination measures.


According to the Perak Pass Secretary, Fairuz Hafiiz Othman, of the three self-examinations conducted, two of them were positive. "As a precaution, he conducted self-quarantine and made a swab test with the Public Health Centre in Ipoh on February 3," he said in a statement posted on his Facebook page today.

He said that due to the positive results obtained today, Razman will undergo mandatory quarantine until February 8.

According to him, developments after that date will be informed from time to time.

As a result of the mandatory quarantine order, he said, all programs involving the exco were suspended and the parties involved were asked to contact the exco office for rescheduling of the program.

"He apologized for the inconvenience caused following the matter.

"He also advises any person who is in close contact during the latest period and has symptoms to do a self-examination of COVID-19," he said.

He said Razman also asked the people of Perak for prayers for a speedy recovery while praying that the people would be spared from any misfortune.
