Yayasan Peneraju appoints Mohd Muzzammil as new CEO

KUALA LUMPUR, Oct 29 -- Yayasan Peneraju Pendidikan Bumiputera (Yayasan Peneraju) has appointed Mohd Muzzammil Ismail as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO).
The foundation in a statement today said with the appointment of Muzzammil, 31, Yayasan Peneraju will intensify its efforts to increase the number of bumiputera talents competent in high-income economy through academic education, professional and vocational certifications.
Commenting on the appointment, Minister in the Prime Minister's Department (Special Functions) Datuk Seri Mohd Redzuan Md Yusof in a statement expressed confidence that Muzzammil would be able to carry out his duties well together with Yayasan Peneraju’s team.
“His experience working with various government agencies and higher learning institutions in the past will be useful when leading Yayasan Peneraju, especially in steering it to the same level as those in developed countries, from a labour intensive to a high value economy with high income status,” he said.
Muzammil previously served as an Academic Fellow at Universiti Utara Malaysia, a research officer at Universiti Sains Malaysia and Universiti Malaya, as well as at several surveyors and town planning firms such as Think-City Geografia and BLT Architect.
He is also involved in the publication of five academic books, four journal articles and other articles in magazines besides being a regular columnist for newspapers such as Sinar Harian, Kosmo, Utusan, The Star and Berita Harian on education, town planning, disaster management and politics.
Under the purview of the Prime Minister’s Department, Yayasan Peneraju is a government initiative aimed at strengthening bumiputera talents and capacity throughout Malaysia, to face global challenges.
To date, Yayasan Peneraju has realised the aspirations of more than 33,000 beneficiaries throughout Malaysia via its 261 funding programmes with an allocation of RM716 million in eight years.
