PETALING JAYA: Members of Parti Pribumi Bersatu Malaysia’s Youth Wing (Armada) who were allegedly part of a drug-fuelled party, have had their memberships suspended, says its chief, Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman.

This comes a few days after the Youths and Sports Minister suspended an officer with the Ministry who is believed to have been involved in the party on Monday (Jan 13).

"I view the arrests very seriously, and I ordered an officer to suspend their memberships while police investigate the case.

"I respect the rule of law. If any individual is suspected of having committed something wrong, please report them to the authorities because everyone is subject to the law, regardless of position or status, including myself," he said.

On Jan 13, it was reported that Dengkil assemblyman Adhif Syan Abdullah and four political special officers were among the 17 people arrested in a raid at a premises in Puchong, where the party was believed to have been held.

Police were called in after members of the public complained about loud noises coming from the premises.

Meanwhile, Adhif said he will fully cooperate with police throughout the investigations.
