PETALING JAYA: Malaysia won the Asia Rugby U18 Boys 7s tournament by beating host China at Kunming in Yunnan.
The boys' fighting spirit prevailed as they came from 10-0 down at half-time to beat China 14-10 on Sunday (Aug 18).
Before the final, Malaysia was triumphant against China by beating them 19-14 in their last group match.
On Saturday (Aug 17), The Young Rimaus opened their campaign in Yunnan by beating Taiwan 22-7 in their first group match.
They continued that momentum by beating rivals Hong Kong and South Korea 21-12 and 28-21 respectively to qualify for the final.
It saw them ending the campaign with a 100% record, with 12 points in the group stages. In total, they scored 104 points and conceded 64.
