PETALING JAYA: An early morning patrol on Wednesday nearly turned bloody when a man brandished a machete after he was approached by the police.
Luckily, the 21-year-old suspect was successfully apprehended by the patrolling team after a struggle.
Petaling Jaya OCPD Asst Comm Mohd Zani Che Din said the patrolling team had earlier found the man loitering around the Jalan Othman area on his motorbike.
"He ran away after being approached by the police. When he lost control of the motorcycle, he reached for the weapon in his bag," said ACP Mohd Zani.
