PETALING JAYA: A crocodile spotted in the Klang River near the Batu 13 toll caused a traffic jam on the Damansara-Puchong Highway (LDP) as curious people gathered to get a glimpse of the reptile.

A Selangor Fire and Rescue Department spokesman said that they were alerted about the crocodile at about 9am on Saturday.

He said that the crocodile was estimated to be about three to four metres in length.

It is learnt that dozens of curious onlookers, including motorists and residents who lived nearby, gathered by the banks of the river to see the crocodile that was spotted swimming in the middle of the river.

The spokesman said that the case has been handed over the Department of Wildlife and National Parks (Perhilitan).

"Our personnel are monitoring the situation at the location," he added.
