KUALA LUMPUR: A 19-year-old unemployed teen was arrested on Wednesday for allegedly raping his 15-year-old girlfriend in a house in Taman Cheras Prima, Kajang, two days earlier.
The teen was alleged to have duped the victim into going to the house for dinner with his uncle.
However, when the girl entered the house about 7pm, she realised that the two of them were alone.
Kajang police chief Assistant Commissioner Dzaffir Mohd Yussof said the teen then forced the girl to lie down.
“The victim claimed she couldn’t escape as the (teen) held her tightly... he then pulled down her pants and raped her,” he said.
Dzaffir said the couple had met via the WeChat messaging application in January and had met up several times.
He said the victim lodged a report the day after the incident and was sent to Kajang Hospital for a medical check-up, where it was confirmed that she had been raped.
Dzaffir said police today obtained a three-day remand order to detain the suspect to facilitate investigations
