Woman allegedly slits own baby's throat
MACHANG: Police have detained a woman for allegedly killing her two month-old baby girl at the Kem Desa Pahlawan army quarters in Kok Lanas, Kota Baru on Saturday.
Kelantan police chief Datuk Dr Ab Rahman Ismail said the 32-year-old woman, who is married to an army corporal, is believed to have slashed the baby's throat with a knife.
"The incident occurred at 2.45pm when her husband was not at home. A neighbour reported the matter to the police," he told reporters when met at a sepak takraw tournament at Sekolah Rendah Jenis Kebangsaan Cina (SRJKC) Tei Hwa here.
He said the suspect, from Kampung Jal, Tumpat, was with the baby when she was arrested. – Bernama
