The vehicle was found lodge at an edge of the river with the driver nowhere in sight. The body of Siva Raj Mahindran was later found on Sunday afternoon near Rawang Memorial Park.
Body of driver in accident found in river near Rawang
PETALING JAYA: The body of a driver involved in a fatal accident in Serendah late Saturday has been found in a river.
Siva Raj Mahindran, aged 21, was driving along the Sungai Choh bridge near Serendah on Saturday night at about 11pm.
It is believed that he lost control of his vehicle there, and his car crashed into the river.
When first responders arrived on the scene at midnight, they found the car stuck near the edge of the river, but the driver was nowhere to be found.
After continued search efforts, authorities found the body in the river at about 4pm Sunday, near the Rawang Memorial Park.
Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt R. Supramaniam said that the family of the deceased had identified the body.
