A recent case of road rage that got Malaysians and lorry drivers in particular, all riled up, had taken an unusual twist.
Last week, a video recording of a lorry driver being brutally beaten up by several men for allegedly reversing into a Mercedes had gone viral.
Social media heated up over the unjust treatment of the hapless lorry driver over a minor road incident as the video showed the poor driver being repeatedly kicked by a man clad in a green shirt.
As if that was not enough, the assailant was joined by several other men raining blows on the lorry driver.

Initial reports from the police state that both parties had settled the matter amicably with the lorry company paying for the damages to the Mercedes.
However, outraged netizens and the entire lorry drivers' community refused to forgive and forget, leading to a protest yesterday by lorry drivers demanding justice for their abused colleague.Pic: The ReporterPic: The Reporter
The lorry driver's identity was revealed by the media as he came forward to give his side of the story during the lorry drivers' protest.
25-year-old Nasrul Faiz relayed the incident while showing his stitches and bruises to the media, as relayed by The Reporter.
“I pulled back and asked why he hit me,” Nasrul said, relaying how he was repeatedly hit by the man and kicked by several others.
Asked by reporters why he did not report the incident, Nasrul said he feared for his life.
“Yes. My boss told me they are like ‘big-time’ gangsters,” he revealed.
Others went further, upping the ante to a witchhunt, with calls to hunt down the owner of the Mercedes and posting death threats memes online.
