Muhammad Fazly was involved in a car accident with a motorcyclist at KM15 Jalan Sungai Mati – Bukit Gambir near Serom in Muar.

 

JOHOR BARU: Johor Darul Ta’zim (JDT) player Muhammad Fazly Mazlan was involved in an accident in which a motorcyclist died.

The 23-year-old footballer was unhurt in the collision at KM15 Jalan Sungai Mati – Bukit Gambir, near Serom, in Muar at about 8.05pm Sunday.

The 30-year-old motorcyclist died at the scene  of the accident.

Tangkak OCPD Supt Mohad Idris Samsuri said Monday Muhammad Fazly and the motorcyclist were heading towards Bukit Gambir when were involved in the accident.

He said the incident occurred when the motorcyclist made a sudden exit at a junction and was hit by the JDT player, who was driving an Audi S5.

 “Initial investigations revealed that Muhammad Fazly was heading towards the Bukit Gambir plaza toll to head back to Johor Baru,” he said.

Supt Mohad said the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for causing death by reckless driving.
