A woman, who was burnt while she was filling petrol in her car and using a handphone in Taman Setapak Indah on June 28, died on Sunday.
Wangsa Maju police chief Supt Mohamad Roy Suhaimi Sarif said he was informed by the family that T. Sarifhla, 25, passed away at 5am in Kuala Lumpur Hospital.
"The victim's family announced the death today and the case was classified as sudden death," he told Bernama.
On June 28, Sarifhla suffered 60 per cent burns on her body when the handphone she was using suddenly caught fire.
The victim was said to be filling petrol while using the handphone when it caught fire in the 1.25 pm incident.
The woman was believed to have entered her car and closed the door of her Perodua Axia. – Bernama
