KUCHING: Khairul Hafiz Jantan continued to rock at the Malaysia Games (Sukma).

The pumped up and newly crowned 100m champion Khairul shattered another record – this time, the Sukma record in the men’s 200m with a time of 21.14 seconds during the heats at the Sarawak Stadium in Petra Jaya on Thursday.

He erased the previous record of 21.33, which was set by Nazmizan Mohamed of Terengganu in Sabah in 2002 – 14 years ago.

On Wednesday, the boy from Malacca made heads turn when he broke the 18-year-old men’s national 100m record with an impressive time of 10.18.

His effort erased Sarawakian Watson Nyambek’s previous mark of 10.30, which was set during the 1998 pre-Commonwealth Games at the National Stadium in Bukit Jalil.
