KUALA LUMPUR: Express Rail Link (ERL), the operator of KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit train services, has introduced a saving option for passengers to continue enjoying the fastest airport transfer in the country, effective Jan 1, 2016.
In a statement today, ERL said the KLIA Ekspres train fares will be reduced automatically from RM110 to RM100 when a return ticket between Kuala Lumpur Sentral and Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)/klia2 is purchased.
“Passengers are encouraged to purchase tickets online through KLIA Ekspres website, mobile app and at the self-service kiosks to enjoy a 10 per cent discount for single (RM45) or return tickets (RM90),” it said.
ERL also offers a 20 per cent discount promotion to MasterCard credit and debit cardholders when KLIA Ekspres single (RM40) or return ticket (RM80) is purchased via its website, mobile app and kiosks.
UOB Visa Preferred Platinum/PRVI Miles credit cardholders who purchased KLIA Ekspres tickets will enjoy a 20 per cent cash back, while AmBank, AmBank Islamic or MBF credit cardholders are entitled to the offer for puchasing KLIA Ekspress and KLIA Transit tickets at full fares from the ticket counters, kiosks or online, it said.
Meanwhile, KLIA Transit passengers will get a 10 per cent discount when single and return tickets are purchased at the kiosks.
Daily commuters on the KLIA Transit will enjoy huge savings of between 17 per cent and 83 per cent when using the KLIA Transit Monthly or Weekly TravelCards.
Malaysian senior citizens, 1Malaysia Student Discount Card and persons with disabilities cardholders are entitled to a 30 per cent off for single ticket fare for travel on KLIA Transit with proof of identification.
Touch ‘n Go card users will enjoy a 10 per cent instant discount at the gate on both KLIA Ekspres and KLIA Transit services during the promotion period.
The offers are valid from Jan 1, 2016 until further notice. -- Bernama
