MANJUNG: A 21-year-old navy personnel was held for allegedly molesting his colleague at a store room at the Lumut naval base on Wednesday.
It is understood that the victim, in her 30s, was working in the store room when the suspect knocked on the door at about 10pm.
Deputy district police chief Deputy Superintendent Chong Boon Khim said as soon as the victim opened the door to allow the suspect entrance, the suspect punched the victim and knocked her down.
"The victim tried shouting for help but the suspect covered the victim's mouth with his hand," he said.
The victim managed to free herself after biting the suspect, added Chong.
The victim, said Chong, suffered injuries to her head and right leg.
"A report was lodged on Thursday," he added.
