Aidana's remains claimed by her family


     
    PETALING JAYA: The remains of Kyrgyz national Aidana Baizieva (pic), one of six people killed in the helicopter crash in Semenyih on Saturday, have been claimed by her family.
    Selangor police chief Senior Deputy Comm Datuk Abdul Samah Mat confirmed that Aidana’s remains were claimed by her stepsister together with a representative from the Kyrgyzstan embassy at about 5.30pm Thursday.
    SDCP Abdul Samah said Aidana’s remains were scheduled to be flown back to Kyrgyzstan on Friday at about 10.55am on an Air Astana flight and scheduled to arrive in the afternoon.
    He added that police were satisfied with the DNA test results that were done on the victim and her stepsister.
    The helicopter carrying Tan Sri Jamaluddin Jarjis and five others – Datuk Azlin Alias, the principal private secretary to the Prime Minister, pilot Captain Clifford William Fournier Jr, businessman Datuk Tan Huat Seng and Jamaluddin’s bodyguard Mohd Razkan Seran, 32 as well as Aidana, 25 – crashed in Semenyih, just minutes away from its destination in Subang on Saturday.
    Before her death in the helicopter crash, Aidana lived in an apartment in Pantai Dalam in Kuala Lumpur after graduating with a diploma in tourism from a local college.
