Baggage on #MAS flights go missing


PETALING JAYA: Several passengers of Malaysia Airlines (MAS) flights have taken to Twitter to voice their frustrations about their missing luggage.

According to tweets that were directed to MAS' twitter account, these passengers who were on various different flights during the weekend, complained that they had not received their bags despite having already arrived at their destinations.
"You have just failed to connect a plane's worth of luggage, including mine, from London to Phnom Penh. Feels great after 17 hours [of] travel," tweeted one of the passengers, known as Katy Oglethorpe, in her twitter account on Saturday.
She reached out to MAS again a day later on Sunday, claiming that her bags still had not arrived before saying that there is no information on it and that her attempts at calling MAS had been futile as no one answered.
Another passenger known as Fahmi Anhar, said that all passengers, including himself, on flight MH611 from Kuala Lumpur (KL) to Singapore had also lost their baggage.
Meanwhile, Richard Bishop said that there was a long queue to fill up the missing bags form at London's Heathrow Airport and that there appeared to be a shortage of MAS staff.
He apparently was on a direct flight from KL to London, and even included pictures of the queue in his tweet to MAS.
While representatives from MAS couldn't be reached by theSun for comments, MAS twitter account has issued apologies to these passengers for the inconvenience, saying that it was caused by unforeseen operational issues, and assured that the company is working on getting their bags delivered as soon as possible.

Some of the other flights involved allegedly are MH2621 from Kota Kinabalu to KL, MH806 from KL to Manila, Philippines, and MH129 from KL to Melbourne, Australia.
