Ferrari Team (RM28)
Ingredients: Havana Club rum, strawberry gomme, fresh lime juice, with a strawberry fruit garnish
Ferrari is so synonymous with the colour red that you instantly know which team this drink is meant to represent. The rum-based gives it a nice tropical flavour, while the strawberry flavours come out nicely, the fruity sweetness accentuate by the tinge of lime, which also gives it a nice sour balance.
Mercedes Team (RM30)
Ingredients: Absolut vodka, pu er tea, blue Curacao, strawberry syrup, and hibiscus.
Nicely balanced between the tea and the fruitiness of the other ingredients. The tannins from the tea also give a nice contrast with the sweetness, while the strawberry syrup gives it a pleasant fruitiness as well.
Lotus Team (RM30)
Ingredients: Havana Club rum, Midori melon liqueur, pineapple, fresh lime, cinnamon, and a dash of Angostura bitters.
Reminded us of a piña colada without the coconut. A great drink for the hot, humid tropical weather with some nice aromas from the mint and caramelised pineapple garnish, and the tinge of bitterness of from the Angostura offsets the sweetness of the Midori perfectly.
William Team (RM30)
Ingredients: CDP Bianco white wine, Havana Club rum, orange juice, vanilla, fresh lemon juice, and tropical fruit garnish.
A nice summer-y sangria-like drink with summery fruity flavours. The wine pairs well with the orange juice, while rum gives it a good strong body. There is also a red wine version – the Marussia Team cocktail, which uses CDP Rosso red wine instead.
Torro Rosso Team (RM30)
Ingredients: Absolut vodka, blue Curacao liqueur, lychee syrup, and fresh lime.
Although it can be a bit sweet at first, the distinct lychee notes come in later, while the lime juice also helps to balance out the drink as well. After a few sips, the drink really grows on you, thanks to the lychee flavours.
