Zam forbids KJ’s special officer from eating at his cafe after bad food review

Peeved at a bad review his cafe had received, former Information Minister Tan Sri Zainudin Maidin yesterday forbade Khairy Jamaludin's special officer, Zeifry Ibrahim from eating at his outlet again.
Zainuddin, popularly known as Zam, said in a post on his blog Zamkata that the Youth and Sports Minister's officer had criticised the cafe's service and food after a recent visit.

"So that my cafe is no longer polluted, it is better for me to forbid Khairy's special officer from entering the cafe forever," he wrote in the blog.
He said that Zeifry had gone on to condemn his cafe, called Zam Newsroom Cafe at Precint 8, Putrajaya, after failing to get special attention when he visited the shop one morning.
Zeifry had posted on his Facebook page: "Nama sampaoii, makanan hampehhh. Custormer tanya – jawapan ‘Ini cara masak kita macam ini’. (The name is great, but the food is disappointing. When the customer asks, they reply "This is how we cook it").
He then left the cafe and proceeded to upload a photograph of his unfinished food on the social networking site.
However, Zam said Zeifry, who came to the shop with three female friends, was irritated after being told by a cafe assistant that the food had to be ordered and paid for at the counter as the restaurant practised self-service.
After the food was served, he complained that his nasi tomato was only served with one type of gravy, prompting the waiter to tell him: “That is our way, we don't have much dishes as we are not a restaurant but only a cafe,” Zam said.
Following that, Zam said Zeifry decided not to finish his food, took a picture, left the cafe and criticised it on Facebook.
According to the former Utusan Melayu group editor, Zam Newsroom Cafe only served simple food such as nasi lemak, nasi tomato, sandwiches, lasagna and spaghetti along with drinks.
Since it opened on January 1 this year, it had been frequented by people from all walks of life, Zam wrote, from regular folk, athletes, artistes, editors, writers, bloggers, political leaders, NGO members and business leaders.
He named Education Minister II Datuk Seri Idris Jusoh, National Civics Bureau chief Datuk Raja Arif Raja Ali and Zakat Centre chairman Datuk Che Mat Che Ali as among those who had eaten at his cafe.
"On a whole, they have never made any insulting, angry statements or condemned it. Instead, they have given several suggestions to the cafe assistant.
"After taking into account all aspects, I feel that it is not appropriate for me to take legal action against the special assistant but instead better to hold him as an example.
“This is an example of an officer who has tainted the name of his minister and government,” Zam added. – November 5, 2014.
