KANGAR: Five teenagers pleaded guilty in a Juvenile Court here on Thursday to rioting in connection with a bullying case in which a video clip of the incident went viral on social media.

The five, aged 13 to 14, and a 15-year-old boy still at large, were jointly charged for rioting under Section 147 of the Penal Code.


They were accused of committing the offence between May 31 and Jun 1 from 1pm to 2pm at the Asrama Anak-Anak Yatim Kompleks Penyayang Dr Siti Hasmah in Jejawi near here with intention to cause hurt and using violence against an 11-year-old boy.
Bail was set at RM500 for each accused. It is learnt that they could not raise the bail and were further remanded.
Their actions were caught on video which went viral on Wednesday.
In the video clip, the victim was seen sobbing and begging for mercy when he was physically assaulted by a group of boys, where all of them residents at the home.
