Man flashes stall owner to pay for coffee

MALACCA: No money to pay for a cuppa, a 38-year-old man exposed his private parts to a stall owner in Kampung Air Pasir in Tebong, near here, purportedly to settle the bill.
There was no one else at the stall at the time of the incident at around 9am on Saturday.
The 47-year-old stall owner said she was shocked when the man casually unzipped his pants and “placed” his private parts on the table after ordering a cup of coffee.
Panicked, she ran out and went straight to get help from her 25-year-old son, who was at their house next door.
When they returned to the stall, they saw the customer sitting on the table and covering his unzipped pants with his T-shirt.
A scuffle followed and the customer admitted he had no money to pay for the coffee and thought that flashing his private parts would “pay” for the drink.
The stall owner’s son then called the Machap Baru police station, which immediately sent a patrol car to the stall to nab the flasher.
Recalling the odd encounter, the victim, who declined to be named, said she was manning the stall alone when the man came along to order a cup of coffee.
“He was chatty and asked how I was coping with the increasing prices of goods. I spoke to him in the normal way and then moved to the back portion of the stall to brew the coffee.
“As I was about to place the drink and collect payment, the man suddenly flashed his private parts right on the table,” she said. “I was afraid he would sexually assault me and I dashed out from my stall.”
Malacca deputy CID chief Supt P.R. Gunarajan said they have detained the man.
