the 65-year old National University of Singapore was named the best SEA University. It is the flagship university of Singapore and has been consistently included as one of the world’s top universities.
Nangyang Technology University landed on the second spot followed by Universiti Malaysia, and the Mahidol Universiti and Chulalongkorn University in Thailand.
The sixth to tenth spot was occupied by the following universities:
- Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia,
- University Sains Malaysia,
- University of Indonesia,
- University of the Philippines,
- Universiti Teknologi Malaysia.
QS Asian University Rankings 2013 ranked the schools according to nine indicators: academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty/student, citations per paper, international faculty, international students, papers per faculty, inbound exchange, and outbound exchange.
