Cashier shock to find out hit and run victim was her mother

   
KUALA LUMPUR: Cashier Nor Hidayah Che Had was walking to work along Jalan Taman Bukit Maluri on Sunday when she saw bystanders huddled around a body of a hit and run victim.
Nor Hidayah had the shock of her life and broke into tears when she saw the victim was her own mother Siti Selamah Napiah, 54.

Siti Selamah had left their home earlier at around 5.30am on Sunday to commute via bus to work at the Tesco Kepong outlet. Both mother and daughter work at the same place.
Siti Selamah got off the bus at around 6am and was crossing the road when she is believed to have been hit by a vehicle that sped off. 
She died on the spot.
A source said bystanders may have helped themselves to some of Siti Selamah’s money which were scattered on the road when she was hit.
The victim’s MyKad was also missing, said the source.
City traffic police chief ACP Rusli Mohd Noor authorities had obtained the shattered number plate of the vehicle that hit Siti Selamah but have yet to identify the type of vehicle and the suspect driving it.
“Her body was brought to the Kuala Lumpur Hospital for a postmortem.
“I call on anyone who witnessed the accident to contact traffic police at 03-20719999 or any police station, to assist in investigations” ACP Rusli said.
