Police Arrest Iranian Drug Dealers Wife After 1.16Kg Syabu Found in Raid.at Seri Hartamas

KUALA LUMPUR: Police nabbed an Iranian drug dealer’s wife and three others after they raided his RM2mil condominium unit that was allegedly purchased using drug money in Sri Hartamas here on Sunday.

City narcotics CID chief Asst Comm Wan Abdullah Ishak said police seized 1.16kg of syabu worth RM117,000 during the raid at 12.30am Sunday on the apartment that was owned the main suspect, who is believed to be trafficking syabu from Iran.
“The main suspect was not in at the time but after we searched the apartment unit, we found the drugs hidden in one of the rooms,” he told a press conference at the Kuala Lumpur state police headquarters on Thursday.
He added that another three occupants of the condominium unit, who were all foreign nationals, were also arrested during the raid.
Meanwhile, in another case, a 23-year-old man was arrested in another apartment in Bangsar for possession of several types drugs and weapons.
Police seized a pistol, 11 live bullets, 22 tubes of heroin, five packets of cannabis, 134 Eramin 5 pills, 27 packets of syabu and 1.5 litres of cough mixture.
The suspect has been remanded until September 11 under Section 39B of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952.
