KUALA LUMPUR: Grab Malaysia is disbursing financial assistance worth RM1 million to meet the urgent needs of residents in Gaza who are affected by the Palestinian-Israeli conflict that continues to escalate.

In a statement shared on social media, the e-hailing service platform also informed the public that they can participate in channeling financial assistance through the application.

"To overcome the urgent needs faced by vulnerable communities affected in Gaza (Palestine), following the ongoing conflict, Grab Malaysia will contribute financial assistance worth RM1 million through MERCY Malaysia.







"Grab users can also contribute through GrabPay or exchange their GrabRewards to support MERCY Malaysia's efforts, thereby contributing to make a real difference in the lives of affected individuals," he said.







Grab Malaysia in the same statement also stated that the assistance given priority involves providing access to medicine, food, and water supply

The company also reiterates its commitment to the principles of humanity and peace, and strongly opposes any violence that violates human rights.

"In addition, from November 8, 2023 to May 8, 2024, Grab will match the amount donated to the MERCY Malaysia Palestine Aid Fund through GrabRewards, just like the previous implementation of charitable donations through GrabRewards," the statement added.
