An elderly man lost his beloved wife when a car crashed into a kopitiam, where he and his wife were enjoying breakfast.
According to a China Press report, the heartbreaking incident happened in Bahau, Negeri Sembilan. It is understood that the vehicle that crashed into the kopitiam wanted to park in the parking lot.
However, for some reason, the driver pressed the gas pedal, causing the vehicle to lose control and cause a crash.
Seeing his wife go before his own eyes, the elderly man who was not injured refused to move from the scene after losing his wife.
76-year-old Chen Rulan was having breakfast with her husband Chen Aiming, 82, at the outside seating area when the crash occurred.
He was seen sitting on a chair, refusing to move. It is understood that many tried to persuade and calm the elderly man, however, he still refused to move.
It is understood that the driver of the car is also a 70-year-old elderly man.
Footage from another angle shows the car ploughing violently into various tables and chairs, sending the furniture scattering across the floor.
