BATANG KALI: The body of a girl was found at the landslide site of the Father's Organic Farm campsite in Gohtong Jaya at 11.15 pm today, taking the death toll to 25.
Hulu Selangor District Police chief Supt Suffian Abdullah confirmed having found the body of the girl, believed to be between five and seven years old.
The girl's body has been sent to the Sungai Buloh Hospital for a post-mortem.
"I can confirm that the body of a girl has been found," he said briefly to Bernama tonight.
Suffian said further details regarding the discovery of the girl's body would be made at a press conference tomorrow morning (Dec 21).
According to him, the fifth day of the search and rescue (SAR) operations was suspended at midnight today and will continue at 8 am tomorrow.
The landslide occurred at 2.42 am on Friday (Dec 16) and it has, so far, claimed 25 lives. A total of 61 people survived while eight more are still missing.

Land Collapse Tragedy: As many as 29 victims are children

BATANG KALI, 20 Dec (Named) -- About 29 out of a total of 94 victims involved in the landslide incident at the Father's Organic Farm camping site, nearby Gohtong Jaya, were children.
According to data from the Disaster Operations Control Center (PKOB) here, this number includes 17 children who were in Sector A (Hillview) when the incident occurred, three in Sector B (Farmview) and nine in Sector C (Riverside).
However, from that number, it cannot be ascertained the actual number of children who died in this incident.
The data shows that he involved 65 adults including 25 people who were in Sector A, nine (Sector B), 17 (Sector C) and 14 workers on the camping site who were in Sector D (Green House).
Based on the data so far, 21 bodies have been found in Sector A and three more in Sector C with two of them being women and one child.
The tragedy of the land collapse at 2.42 a.m. Friday at the campsite has so far witnessed 61 survivors, 24 lives lost and nine more victims are still missing.
The search for and rescue of missing prey has continued since 8 this morning, with the strength of 115 members and employees from various agencies, apart from the assistance of dogs from the Testing Dog Unit (K9)
