Saya dah CUBA" - Malaysian Gymnast Farah Ann in Tears at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020





PETALING JAYA: Despite failing to make history by advancing to the women's individual all-around finals, the country's gymnastics queen, Farah Ann is still happy with the performance shown in her inaugural appearance at the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games today.

Farah Ann, 27, closed the qualifying campaign in 53rd place out of 85 participants after collecting l 48,565 points overall at the Ariake Gymnastics Center. Only the best 24 gymnasts are eligible to compete in the final, this Wednesday.

United States (US) gymnast Simone Biles continued to steal the spotlight when she took the top spot followed by her compatriot Sunisa Lee after collecting 57,731 points and 57,166 points.



Russian athlete, Angelina Melnikova took third place with 57,132 points.

"I have given everything but did not succeed. I try to 'move on' and do my best in the next tournament, "said Farah Ann.
