PORT DICKSON: Independent candidate Saiful Bukhari Azlan has once again reiterated that his claim against his former “boss” Anwar Ibrahim for sodomy is true.

Saiful, who was speaking to residents in Kampung Teluk Pelanduk, said he had sworn three times to defend his claim against Anwar, who is also the PKR president-elect.

“I have reported to the police, swearing three times, in the Federal Territory Mosque, in Mecca and in court. But he (Anwar) never did (swear),” he said.

Saiful was responding to a question from a resident at the event.



The woman, who declined to be named, had asked Saiful if the sodomy case was true.

Commenting on the royal pardon received by Anwar, Saiful said only those who had sinned would ask for forgiveness.

He said Anwar had deceived millions of people to achieve his political goals.

“He (Anwar) will be prime minister for the longest… it is necessary for me to prevent someone from interfering with power that can harm the country.

“We want the truth… to me, he (Anwar) is a hypocrite, his followers are in danger. On Oct 13, he must not win, because if he does, and he enters into government, he will fight to be prime minister,” he said.

Saiful had previously said that he would not raise the sodomy case during his campaign.

He said his decision to contest in the Port Dickson by-election was only to ensure a healthy democracy.
