Rafizi wins FT PKR election, now leads Azmin by 43 votes

PETALING JAYA: Rafizi Ramli now leads Datuk Seri Azmin Ali by 43 votes in the keen contest to be the PKR deputy president.
Rafizi won in the Federal Territories’ leg of the race, by a margin of 135 votes in the three territories of Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya and Labuan, garnering 2,929 votes against Azmin’s 2,794.
Rafizi had also captured the three states of Kelantan, Terengganu and Pahang while Azmin was declared the victor of the Penang and Johor rounds.
Before today's results, the incumbent Azmin was leading the competition by a razor-thin 92 votes against Rafizi, a current vice-president
Rafizi's total tally of votes is now at 19,155 votes, while Azmin has 19,112 votes.
Melaka, Negri Sembilan, Perlis, Kedah, Perak and Selangor will e-vote this month. Sabah and Sarawak will follow suit in November.
The official results will be announced at the PKR national congress in mid-November.
If the race goes down to the wire, Selangor, which has the highest number of PKR voters, may decide who becomes the next deputy president.
