BUTTERWORTH: A school principal here has been remanded for three days in connection with sodomy allegations against him.
The 54-year-old man (pic), clad in a T-shirt and brown pants, went bare-footed to a magistrate’s court, where the remand order was granted.
Lawyer S. Anthonysamy represented the suspect.
He was taken back to the North Seberang Prai district police headquarters after the order was granted.
The two boys, aged 11 and 13, lodged their reports after telling their respective families.
They were sent to Kepala Batas Hospital and transferred to Seberang Jaya Hospital for further examination.
An earlier police statement confirmed injuries found in their private parts.
It was also reported that apart from the two students, several other victims have also claimed that they were sodomised by the principal.
The case is being investigated under Section 377e of the Penal Code for inciting a child to an act of gross indecency where if convicted can be jailed up to five years and be liable to whipping.

Yesterday, 23 October, two boys lodged police reports against a 55-year-old principal of a secondary school in Permatang Tok Jaya, Penang, for sodomy
New Straits Times reported that the boys alleged that they were sodomised by the principal while attending an educational programme at the school recently.
According to Bernama, the victims lodged the police reports after telling their families about the alleged assault.
The boys are 11 and 13 years old.

Tears were found in the private parts of both boys
The victims had been sent to the Kepala Batas Hospital for examination.
They will be transferred to the Sebarang Jaya Hospital for treatment upon the discovery of their injuries.

Bernama reported Seberang Perai Utara (SPU) district police chief ACP Noorzainy Mohd Noor as confirming that an investigation based on the police reports is currently being conducted.
Meanwhile, other victims are expected to lodge reports against the principal on the same allegation as well.
